Richard Doyle (Dick Kitcat) 1824-83
Son of the caricaturist John Doyle and brother of Henry, Charles and James Doyle. Served as Punch‘s youngest illustrator from 1843 to 50. He resigned over the paper’s anti-papist policies, Doyle being a staunch Roman Catholic. His cover design for Punch was used until 1954.
